How it works

1

Load your video

Drag-and-drop or browse. Your video never leaves your browser. To improve the tool we transmit the extracted metadata reports plus technical telemetry (file size, format, error messages) — see the privacy policy for details.

2

See every tag

MediaInfo (the engine behind VLC) reads every single tag: camera model, software encoder, GPS, timestamps, track handlers, Apple QuickTime atoms.

3

Strip losslessly

ffmpeg.wasm runs a pure stream-copy with -c copy -map_metadata -1. Picture and audio remain bit-identical.

Why this tool?

TikTok, Instagram and YouTube use encoder fingerprints and metadata tags (e.g. com.apple.quicktime.software, encoder=Lavf*, or tool-specific ID tags) as one signal among many to detect AI-generated content.

If your video has been through any AI tool (upscaler, Stable Diffusion, Sora, Veo, Runway), telltale traces often remain in the container. This tool shows them to you and removes them — without re-encoding the video.

Important: metadata cleaning is not a silver bullet. It only removes the obvious hints. Visual AI artefacts (watermarks, pixel patterns) remain intact.
